During the years 2007-2016, CASE was funded by Forte with 60 million SEK. During the same time, Lund University co-funded CASE with 40 million SEK and CASE researchers applied for and received about 113 millon SEK from other external funders.

New cooperations
During 2017, present and new partners have been engaged in the planning for a continuation of CASE. Until December 2017, the Faculties of Medicine and Engineering were together granted 54 million SEK from external funders for projects within CASE.

Basic funding
The centre's basic funding comes from the Ribbingska donation (administered by the Faculty of Medicine), parts of project grants, and a grant from Lund University to encourage cooperation between LU faculties.
